The storage (1) has an active substrate (2) as a storage medium (3), in which a heat dissipation channel (4) is formed. The channel is provided with surface-enlarged structures (5), which are formed by a portion of the substrate and are heat conductively attached to the substrate. The structures are formed by rib-, scaling-, burl- and/or wave structures, where the rib structures have partially angular or round ribs. The channel runs coaxial and/or parallel to a longitudinal axis (6), and is provided with a surface lining and/or surface coating to provide heat dissipation. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an energy storage.
