Articulated object part e.g. pedestrian's hand forearm region, classifying method for use in driver assistance process of vehicle, involves transforming image recording such that internal degree of freedom is considered in standard views
The method involves determining a pose and an internal degree of freedom of detected articulated object and/or part of the articulated object based on a three-dimensional model. Image recording is transformed based on the pose information of the detected articulated object and/or part of the articulated object such that the internal degree of freedom is considered in standard views of the detected articulated object and/or part of the articulated object. A classifier (5) is formed with the standard views of the detected object and/or part of the object. An independent claim is also included for a device for classification of detected articulated objects and/or parts of the articulated objects.
