The foot-rest has a plate (6) including an inclined support surface supporting feet of a passenger (P-AR) of a rear seat (1) of a motor vehicle. The plate is situated between longitudinal slides (3) of a front seat (2) situated in front of the seat (1). The plate is movable in translation with a base (2A) of the seat (2) in a longitudinal direction (X) of the vehicle and connected to the base by an articulation to angularly displace the plate, such that a passenger feet support surface angle (theta) is changed automatically along a position of the seat (2) in the direction of the vehicle.
