The seats have a rear seat (300) moving with respect to a vehicle for being moved between a front position and a rear position in which the rear seat receives a seated passenger. The rear seat provides maintenance function to a passenger seated in a front seat (200) when the rear seat is in the front position. The rear seat provides side maintenance function to an upper body of the passenger seated in the front seat. A base (320) of the rear seat is positioned under a base (220) of the front seat. An independent claim is also included for a method for configuring seats of a vehicle.
