The system has a wheel driving controller (14) generating a set point steering lock torque (Cconsrg) at an actuator (12). The controller comprises a position loop i.e. integral proportional corrector, and a filtered derivative block for generating a speed set point from a set point steering lock angle (theta-consrg) and a measured effective steering lock angle (theta-rg). A speed loop i.e. proportional corrector, generates the steering lock torque from the speed set point. A low-pass filter is associated to the integral proportional corrector.
