PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonhuman animal useful for verifying the effectiveness of a human or animal cellular tissue to be used as a "cellular tissue-utilizing medicine or the like", and to provide a method for producing the nonhuman animal.;SOLUTION: The nonhuman animal in which a spacer having at least the surface formed out of a biologically unreactive material is embedded is obtained by transplanting adipose precursor cells and/or adipose tissue between the spacer and the tissue of the nonhuman animal.
