PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for direct-current power supply, wherein the loss of an entire power supply obtained by combining a battery and a capacitor is minimized. PSOLUTION: The control method is for a direct-current power supply, in which a regenerative current storage unit RSBA/SBhaving a capacitor C and a chopper circuit ch for stepping up/down its voltage, is connected in parallel with a battery B. In this control method, a command value ISBL/SBSP*/SPof assist current passed through the chopper circuit ch is computed from the internal resistance RSBB/SBof the battery, the equivalent resistance value RSBX/SBof the regenerative current storage unit, and the current value ISBDC/SBof the direct-current power supply by a current command value computation unit 10; and at a subtraction unit 24, the difference between the assist current command value ISBL/SBSP*/SPand the value ISBL/SBof assist current passed through the chopper circuit ch is computed; and at a PWM control unit 26, a gate signal corresponding to the resulting difference signal is generated to control the chopper circuit ch.
