PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly and conveniently evaluating a gene expression inhibiting effect by a siRNA.;SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the gene expression inhibiting effect of the siRNA includes: the process (a) for preparing a fluorescently-labeled siRNA in which one RNA strand as a sense strand or an antisense strand in the siRNA is labeled by a fluorescent material; the process (b) for irradiating a reaction solution containing the fluorescently-labeled siRNA with excitation light, detecting a fluorescence as a fluorescent signal generated from the fluorescent material, and analyzing it by a unimolecular fluorescence analysis method; the process (c) for irradiating the reaction solution with excitation light, detecting the fluorescence as the fluorescent signal generated from the fluorescent material, and analyzing it by the unimolecular fluorescence analysis method after the fluorescently-labeled siRNA is added to the reaction solution containing a RNA helicase or a RISC and an ATP, and reacted; and the process (d) for comparing analysis results obtained from the processes (b), (c), and evaluating the gene expression inhibiting effect of the siRNA.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
