PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for a vending machine, which suppresses deterioration of global environment such as global warming by reducing a power consumption of an AC power source, and to provide a vending machine equipped therewith.;SOLUTION: A battery 3 accumulates power generated by a solar panel 2, and feeds the charged power to the vending machine 100. A control part 7 equipped with a controller 4 and an inverter 5 monitors an amount of charge of the battery 3 and supply of power from the AC power source, and switches a power source for driving the vending machine 100 between the battery 3 and the AC power source. On the other hand, the inverter 5 is made compact by being used as the control part 7, and changes a direct current to an alternating current when feeding the vending machine 100 from the battery 3. The solar panel 2, the battery 3 and the AC power source are input in parallel to the controller 4 respectively, and an output from the controller 4 is input into the vending machine 100 through the inverter 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
