PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a domestic content common use system, a home server, home equipment, and a domestic content common use method capable of reproducing content rapidly according to user's requests while protecting copyright. PSOLUTION: A cipher processing unit 23 ciphers content received from a broadcasting station, and transmits the ciphered content to at least one of a plurality of pieces of home equipment before the reproduction request of the content. A key management information storage unit 27 stores key management information for indicating the location of a decipher key for deciphering the ciphered content. A key management unit 26 refers to the key management information when receiving the transmission request of the decipher key transmitted when the home equipment requests the reproduction of the content, and transmits the decipher key or information for indicating the location of the decipher key to the home equipment only if only the home equipment may own the decipher key when the home equipment owns the decipher key.
