PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for determining authenticity that solve the problems that it is difficult to reduce manufacturing time, that a large number of steps are required for manufacture of an embossed mold and that it is difficult to change a pattern of a determining part when the determining part is formed by an embossed hologram. PSOLUTION: In the medium 1 for determining authenticity, an alignment layer 3 and a light selection reflecting pattern layer 4 are sequentially layered on one surface of a base material 2, and a reflection type hologram comprising a hologram formation layer 5 and a reflective layer 6 is layered on the other surface. The alignment layer 3, the light selection reflecting pattern layer 4, the hologram formation layer 5 and the reflective layer 6 may be sequentially layered on one surface of the base material 2.
