PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve production efficiency, and to reduce manufacturing cost. PSOLUTION: A device 1 for recovering nuclear fuel uranium scraps includes an oxidizing furnace body 2 for oxidizing many sintered body scraps 4 piled in a tube 3, and a sieve means 12 for sieving the oxidized powder scrap according to granularity. A heater 10 imparts a temperature gradient wherein the surface temperature of the tube 3 is heightened downward from the upside. The heater 10 is controlled in the range of 500-550C when oxidizing UOSB2/SBsintered body scraps, and also controlled in the range of 550-800C when oxidizing UOSB2/SBsintered body scraps including GdSB2/SBOSB3/SB. The sieve means 12 is equipped with the second sieve 14 formed of a screen whose size is 100 mesh, and is provided with a vibration imparting means 15 for imparting vibration. The air supplied from an air supply means 6 is discharged from the lower end of the tube 3 through the inside of the tube 3, and accelerates drop of the oxidized powder to the sieve means 12.
