Procedures have been modified and test runs made for the dissolution of zirconium-uranium alloy scrap and the separation of the uranium from the zirconium by dibutyl carbitol extraction. Uranium containing less than 40 ppm Zr/U3O8 can be consistently ob¬tained at Increased uranium throughputs.
