PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-chromium type surface treated metallic material excellent in corrosion resistance without being incorporated with hexavalent chromium. ;SOLUTION: This metallic material has an inhibitor component-contg. lower layer rust preventive film formed on the surface of a metallic material and an inhibitor component-contg. upper layer rust preventive film further formed on the surface, in which the lower layer rust preventive film has 0.1 to 5 μm thickness and contains, as solid contents, (1) 100 pts.wt. organic resin and 0.2 to 500 pts.wt. thiocarbonyl group-contg. compd. as inhibitor components or (2) 100 pts.wt. organic resin and 0.2 to 200 pts.wt. vanadic compd. as inhibitor components. The upper layer rust preventive film has 0.1 to 5 μm thickness and contains, as solid contents, (3) 100 pts.wt. organic resin and 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. thiocarbonyl group-contg.compd. as inhibitor components or (4) 100 pts.wt. organic resin and 0.1 to 20 pts.wt. vanadic compd. as inhibitor components.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
