Lead storage battery state management device and remaining capacity detection method for lead storage battery

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a status management device for a lead storage battery, capable of detecting residual capacity of a lead storage battery with high precision, using a simple configuration, and to provide related technologies. PSOLUTION: Based on a temperature value and an output voltage value of the lead storage battery 1 detected by a temperature sensor 3 and a pressure sensor 5, a mean activity value of sulfuric acid of the lead storage battery 1 is calculated by the Nernst's equation. Using that the logarithm of the mean activity of sulfuric acid and the concentration of sulfuric acid are in proportion to each other, an estimated concentration value which is used to estimate concentration of the sulfuric acid concentration is calculated, based on the mean activity value. Based on the estimated concentration value, an estimated remaining capacity value which is used to estimate remaining capacity of the lead storage battery 1 is calculated.
