PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system capable of surely detecting the existence of an unadmitted person in a security zone where a number of admitted persons come in and out by correctly counting portable terminals in the security zone.;SOLUTION: When a visitor holding the portable terminal 10-1 (sleep mode) enters from a gateway 71 of a peripheral security zone 70, a first signal is received from an antenna 20-1 of the gateway 71. Whereby the portable terminal is changed to a second operation mode (active mode). The response is requested to the portable terminals from an antenna 25-1 of a first communication device mounted in a security pole in the peripheral security zone 70, and only the portable terminals in a state of second operation mode transmit the self-identification information. As only the portable terminals 10-2 changed to the second operation mode in passing through the gateway 71, make response, and the portable terminals 10-1 outside of the security zone 70 do not make response, the terminal devices 10-2 in the peripheral security zone can be correctly counted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
