A method for growing oilseed flax on nonirrigated lands includes afterharvesting and basic soil cultivation, fertilizer application, sowing, plant cultivation and harvesting. In doing so after harvesting a preceding crop the field is disked in two tracks for a depth of 10-12 cm, nonmoldboard cultivation is carried out for a depth of 16-18 cm. From autumn the field is leveled by cultivators, harrowed early in spring. The calculated rate of mineral fertilizers is applied under presowing cultivation, high-yielding oilseed flax varieties are sown with a rate of 4-4.5 mln. of germinable seeds per hectare. The field is compacted by ring rollers, plants are treated with herbicides at the "fir-tree" stage taking into account thresholds of harmfulness.
