Detection of bacteriophages that infect Lactobacillus delbrueckii by means of a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR) and its use.;The present invention describes a method of detection, especially in milk, of traces of destructive bacteriophages of the Lactobacillus delbrueckii species used in industrial lactic fermentations, by QRT-PCR. The amplification is performed using a single pair of oligonucleotide primers that under suitable conditions amplify a double stranded fragment flanked by said oligonucleotides. These viruses are one of the main causes of failure in industrial dairy fermentations, causing significant economic losses. This procedure makes it possible to make decisions such as allocating contaminated milk to processes where Lb does not intervene. delbrueckii sensitive to the phages detected or towards inactivation treatments, as well as the disinfection of the production plant. The main advantage of the procedure is speed, along with specificity, simplicity and sensitivity.
