Control or repellency of bed bugs by bringing the bed bugs into contact with a bed bug control formulation containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of alkyl ketones and cyclic ketones wherein the total number of carbon atoms in the alkyl ketones and cyclic ketones is from 10 to 16 carbon atoms and method for achieving such control or repellency.
