PURPOSE: A device for automatically or manually controlling the brightness of an LCD screen is provided to secure safety of a train operation by controlling the brightness of the LCD screen according to peripheral brightness.;CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor(10) senses the brightness of a engineer's cab. A key input unit(12) selects an automatic mode or manual mode. The key input unit selects the brightness of an LCD screen. A controller(14) sets the automatic mode or manual mode according to the selection of the key input unit and outputs a pulse width modulation signal corresponding to the brightness information of the engineer's cab from an optical sensor in an automatic mode. The controller outputs the pulse width modulation signal corresponding to the brightness selection signal of the LCD screen provided from the key input unit. An inverter(16) outputs the AC for controlling the backlight brightness according to the pulse width modulation signal outputted from the controller.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
