MATERIAL OF QUALITY MAINTENANCE AND INHIBITION OF BLACK-STAIN ON ORIENTAL PEAR DURING COLD STORAGE

PURPOSE: A freshness keeping agent for quality maintenance of oriental pears is provided to maintain quality and freshness of the pear for a long time, and to prevent microbial contamination of the pear while inhibiting softening of hte pear by ethylene increase. CONSTITUTION: A freshness keeping agent includes activated charcoal, ethylene adsorber and sulfur dioxide. The freshness keeping agent further includes tourmaline, amethyst, magnetite, monazite, Kiyoseki Ceramic Ball, germanium, or pegmatite and component emitting far infrared rays or anions. The ethylene adsorber is KMnO4, Br2, or charcoal. The freshness keeping agent is an A-type, a B-type or a C-type. The A-type includes activated charcoal of 3.5g and sulfur dioxide of 0.1~1.0g. The B-type includes the ethylene adsorber of 2~3g and the sulfur dioxide of 0.1~1.0g. The C includes activated charcoal of 3.5g and the sulfur dioxide of 0.1~1.0g.
