PURPOSE: An automatic container-fixing device for a freight car is provided to automatically fix a container when the container is placed on the designated location of the upper plate of the freight car.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic container-fixing device for a freight car comprises a shaft(20), a torsion spring(27), a plate(30), and an extrusion piece. A locking part(21) of a cone shape is projected on the top of the shaft. The shaft is integrated with the locking part. A stopper(25) is formed in the spring insertion part. The torsion spring is inserted into the spring insertion part of the shaft. A hole(32) though which the lower part of shaft passes is formed at the center of the plate. A pin(35) inserted into the slot of the shaft is attached beside the hole. Two bars(31) inserted into the grove formed on the upper plate of the freight car is attached to the edge.
