POWER CONTROL APPARATUS FOR HYBRID CONTRUCTION MACHINERY AND POWER CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A power control apparatus and method for a hybrid construction machine are provided to improve work efficiency by preferentially supplying power to a working machine which is used frequently and requires greater power. CONSTITUTION: A power control method for a hybrid construction machine as follows. Necessary power for an electric motor and a pump is inputted to a controller(S100). When power is inputted, it is determined whether the electric motor is driven or regenerates electric energy(S110). If it is determined to drive the electric motor, the necessary power of the electric motor is compared with the available supply power of an electric energy storage device(S120). If the necessary power of the electric motor is smaller than the available supply power of the electric energy storage device, electrical energy is supplied to the electric motor(S130). If not, a controller provides the electrical energy of the electric energy storage device and an engine assist motor to the electric motor(S140). If regenerative driving of the electric motor is determined to be needed and the regenerative power of the electric motor is 0, the controller controls the engine assist electric motor and an engine according to the necessary power of the pump(S160). If the regenerative power is not 0, the controller charges the regenerative power of the electric motor in the electric energy storage device and provides the remaining regenerative power to the engine assist motor(S170).
