PURPOSE: A sliding member in a compressor is provided to improve the adhesion of a nickel base plating layer and a diamond like carbon layer.;CONSTITUTION: A sliding member in a compressor comprises: a nickel base plating layer(35) which is formed on aluminum base material(27) and contains at least one additive among nitrogen, silicon, titanium, chrome and aluminum; and a diamond-like carbon layer(36) which is formed on the surface of the nickel base plating layer and contains the same additive which the nickel base plating layer contains. A nickel base plating layer which does not contain the additive is formed between the base material and the nickel base plating layer containing the additive. A diamond-like carbon layer which does not contain the additive is formed on the surface of the diamond-like carbon layer containing the additive.
