PURPOSE: A UI(User Interface) control apparatus and a method for the same are provided to enable to perform zoom-in and zoom-out operations without a multi-touch operation in a portable terminal in which screen size is restricted.;CONSTITUTION: A rear sensor(100) is arranged on a rear side of a terminal and detects a rear operation of a user. A front touch sensor(200) detects a screen touch input of a user by a touch sensor which is arranged on displaying screen of the front of the terminal. A display control unit combines the real operations and the touch directions of a touch direction determiner(310) and the real sensor to include a combination unit(320) for changing the display screen, wherein the touch direction determiner judges the touch direction based on a touch sensing result of the front touch sensor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
