FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to psychotherapy, namely to study of addiction and can be used for correction of general, partial self-concept of the patients suffering alcoholism and other addictions. It involves diagnosing by psychodiagnostic techniques. And tests being used are published in the press. The tests relevant to the respondent's problem features are selected. The interpreted results of these tests are correlated with proverbs with the same meaning. By using the tests being selected, the patients are tested; the end results are processed, interpreted, and the associated proverbs are read out.;EFFECT: method allows determining the level of personal defect by a patient himself before carrying out psychotherapeutic actions.;11 cl, 5 tbl
