The method involves connecting a tubular component (1) with another component by a longitudinal-sided connection region (2) of the former component. The tubular component is plastically deformed at a longitudinal side in such a manner that the tubular component is pressed together with the latter component to provide a double-walled connection region. The double-walled connection region is adapted to a connection region of the latter component with respect to a shape of the double-walled region. The tubular component is manufactured by internal high-pressure shaping.
