The method involves selective removing of material e.g. metal, plastic and adhesive, of components (2, 4) or selective application of the material of the components in an overlapping region (10) for forming projections (14). Adhesive is applied on the components in the overlapping region, and the components are overlapped. The components are compressed in the overlapping region for pressing the projections at the overlapped components. Mechanical point-like joint connections e.g. screw connections, are produced at the projections in the overlapping region. An independent claim is also included for a component with a surface for producing a overlapping hybrid connection with another component in an overlapping region.
