The device (10) has a rotating contact system with a pair of extension springs that are symmetrically arranged between cam plates (5) and contact bridges (3). Tension springs (6) have spring bolts (54) that are partially and displaceably supported at a radially outer lying latching contour (K) of the plates in a sliding manner. The bolts are locked along the contour with a latching protuberance to control relatching of bridges during overcurrent or short-circuit. The plates and the springs are spatially separated from the bridges by a partition wall (14) arranged in an insulated housing (11). An independent claim is also included for a three pole switching device arrangement comprising a control shaft.
