The equipment (10) has a storage unit arranged in a housing (11), and a universal serial bus (USB)connector (12) covered by a removable cap (13) of the housing. Information i.e. operating instruction, of a motor vehicle is stored in the storage unit. The cap corresponds to shape of a motor vehicle key, and control elements (14) are formed on the housing and are attached to the corresponding key. The operating instructions are read out at a computer or through a connector at a combination instrument.
