The actuator (1) has an electric motor (3) i.e. servomotor, with an internal rotor (5) that is in engagement with an external thread (4) of a threaded spindle (1a) such that the spindle is axially moved by rotating the rotor. The spindle and the electric motor are completely positioned within a closed housing (11). The housing has a cylindrical borehole (19) for a cylindrical spindle sleeve (2) in an extension in axial direction of the spindle. The borehole is externally sealed by a cylindrical seal (20), and the sleeve is movably positioned at an end of the spindle.
