The drive (10) has a self-locking screw thread formed between a spindle nut (20) and a threaded spindle (24). The threaded spindle operates a lubricant application device (30) for grease lubrication of the drive. The threaded spindle forms an operational field (B) for an operation of the lubricant application device, where the operational field is formed outside a work switching position (A) of the threaded spindle. The lubricant application device comprises a metering unit (34) for operating a piston (33) of a fat cartridge (32), where the metering unit is actuated by the threaded spindle.
