The track has a y-sleeper made of steel, and an equalizing layer set between horizontal flat contact surfaces of sleeper sections (2a, 2b) and auxiliary sleeper sections (11a, 11b). The contact surface of the track is formed by ballast pebbles. The layer is structured in a surface that is turned toward the track such that the pebbles are held totally or partially laminar, where the layer is plastic deformable during load carried by rail vehicle and not deformable. The layer has hydraulic and bitumen cement mortar, where setting time of the layer is about 10 days for reaching ultimate strength. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a ballast track with a y-sleeper.
