The mold (1) has a support part (3) covered with a superficial layer (4), where the support part consists of ceramic and/or metallic materials, where the ceramic material is chosen from alumina, zirconia, yttrium-doped zirconia and mullite, and the metallic material is chosen from zirconium . A free surface (2) of the superficial layer is in contact with liquid phase semi-conductor material i.e. silicon, and is structured along a predetermined motif. An independent claim is also included for a method for realizing a mold.
