The device has a turbocompressor with a compressor arranged through an air supply duct toward an internal-combustion engine. A turbine is arranged via an exhaust gas duct. A control assembly controls a supercharging adjusting unit. A pre-positioning module (26) pre-positions the adjusting unit for collectively delivering adjusting unit control to an actuator mechanism, where the pre-positioning module receives and process a measurement of a supercharging parameter e.g. supply air flow, according to mechanical characteristics of the actuator mechanism.
