EAR FOLDING METHOD AND EAR FOLDING DEVICE FOR PILLOW PACKAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ear folding method and an ear folding device for a pillow package, by which ears can be folded regardless of the properties, shape, size, etc., of a product applicable as an item to be packaged.;SOLUTION: The ear folding method includes folding the ears 11 of the pillow package 10, which are formed through an end sealing process performed by an end sealing device. The body of the pillow package is pressed under an upper pressing belt 17, thereby moving gas in the body in a lateral direction such that the ends of the body, formed as ears, are expanded laterally outside. The ears are pressed against a heating plate 18 while expanded. Thereby, the ears are folded (Fig.2(c)).
