PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform such flow control as to maintain compatibility of improving data transmission efficiency and ensuring communication quality.;SOLUTION: A Priority extracting unit 9 counts the number of times of receiving data from Ports 1 for each Priority included in the data. Based on a count result from each Priority extracting unit 9, a class determining unit 11 assigns a priority of QoS class to each Port 1 and notifies the result to a buffer control unit 10. The count result is reset at every predetermined time. Based on contents notified from the class determining unit 11, the buffer control unit 10 stores received data from each Port 1 in regions, corresponding to QoS classes, of a buffer 5. If the amount of use of a buffer region exceeds a threshold, a flow control request is outputted only to a flow control unit 10 of the Port 1 corresponding to that buffer region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
