PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate and recover metal by discharging an exhaust gas generated in treating a metal-containing material including a plurality of metallic species of iron scrap, shredder dust, and electronic products such as a mobile phone at a high temperature in a melting furnace, as a gas of metal while controlling its temperature to be 300°C or more, and coagulating the same by indirect cooling while controlling its cooling temperature according to boiling points of the metallic species in a multiple-stage cooling tower.;SOLUTION: In the cooling tower of two or more stages disposed to evaporate, coagulate or precipitate metal, oxidized metal and metal chloride included in the exhaust gas to recover the plurality of metal, oxidized metal and metal chloride included in the exhaust gas of a reducing exhaust gas composition in which remaining oxygen in the exhaust gas is 10% or less, while controlling the exhaust gas temperature to be 300°C or more in the melting furnace, the exhaust gas and its metal, oxidized metal and metal chloride are cooled from a high temperature while controlling the cooling temperatures according to difference in coagulation points, evaporation points and precipitation of each of the metal, oxidized metal and metal chloride, thus the plurality of metals can be separated and recovered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
