摘要

This method separately extracts xenon and krypton from a sample of reactor coolant gas and will reject any argon present. The separation is achieved by passing a sample of "residual gas" (obtained after bubbling some reactor coolant gas through potassium hydroxide solution), through two cooled, charcoal-filled traps connected in series. The traps may then be counted directly.
