PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase such possibility that a searcher finds out his or her desired book.;SOLUTION: A book search system includes: an acceptance terminal for accepting the input of the search conditions of a book; a book information center terminal for searching a book matched with the search conditions accepted by the acceptance terminal; and a book database for storing the book identification information of the book, an insert day when the relevant information of the book is inserted in an information medium and medium identification information indicating the type of the information medium in association. The acceptance terminal accepts at least either first search conditions with the book information of the book as a search key or second search conditions with the medium identification information of the information medium and the date or period when the relevant information of the book is inserted in the information medium as a search key, and the book information center terminal retrieves, when the second search conditions are accepted, the book in which the relevant information is carried in the information medium whose type is indicated by the medium identification information within the date or period from the book database.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
