PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library book retrieval system and the like capable of retrieving a similar event in the past when a sudden event has occurred and then retrieving a book on the basis of a lending history of a library located near the place where the similar event occurred.;SOLUTION: When a user instructs to present recommended books regarding a news article displayed on a news article browsing screen, a retrieval server analyzes the news article and acquires analysis information on the time, place and event (term) in a step S2, retrieves a similar article on the basis of the event included in the analysis information in a step S3, extracts information on a place from the similar article and retrieves a library related to this place in a step S4. Then, the retrieval server retrieves a lending history starting after a time included in the similar article extracted in the step S3 from among the lending history of the library in a step S5, and extracts recommended books on the basis of the lending history in a step S7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
