PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment process for a biomass capable of treating it efficiently and safely in a fluid catalytic cracking apparatus.;SOLUTION: The process for the treatment of a biomass by catalytic cracking using a fluid catalytic cracking apparatus having a reaction zone, a separation zone, a stripping zone and a regeneration zone, in which the reaction zone of a 1st process of treating a raw material oil containing the biomass with a catalyst containing 10-50 mass% of an ultrastable Y-type zeolite at an outlet temperature of the reaction zone of 480-540°C, a catalyst/oil ratio of 4-12 wt./wt., a reaction pressure at 1-3 kg/cm2G and 1-3 seconds contact period of the charge oil with the catalyst, and a 2nd process of the regeneration zone of treating the catalyst used in the 1st process under a regeneration zone temperature at 640-720°C, a regeneration zone pressure of 1-3 kg/cm2G and an oxygen concentration of 0-3 mol% in the exhaust gas at the outlet of the regeneration zone.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
