PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the transparency of the skin by a miniaturized device structure without being affected by the reflection light on the surface of the skin or the ambient light. PSOLUTION: The transparency measuring device is used in contact with the surface of the skin. The transparency measuring device includes a light projecting part 2 having an LED 20 for emitting light of a prescribed wavelength for projecting the light from the LED 20 to the skin surface, and an imaging part 3 for capturing the image of the skin surface in a place different from where the light is projected but a place where the projected light is diffused inside. The light projecting part 2 has an opening 24 to be brought into contact with the skin surface, and the direct light from the LED 20 is shaded as the opening 24 is brought into contact with the skin surface.
