PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode sealing resin that has a higher permeability in a short wavelength region in comparison with conventional epoxy resins, has a strong resistance against discoloring (yellowing) due to ultraviolet rays or heat generation, and produces no defect factor such as a resin crack that deteriorates the light-emitting diode reliability; and to provide a light-emitting diode using the light-emitting diode sealing resin.;SOLUTION: This light-emitting sealing resin employs siloxanes having substituents for either or both of the epoxy and oxetanone as main compounds, and the invented light-emitting diode employs this light-emitting sealing resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
