PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a procedure for resecting a lesion of a gastrointestinal tract in a short period of time and to enable the safe procedure regardless of skills of an operator. PSOLUTION: A treatment device 5 for submucosal dissection, which is used to locally dissect a submucosal layer for resecting the lesion of the gastrointestinal tract, is equipped with a flexible main body 10 of the treatment device inserted in the submucosal layer, a first pipe formed all over from the proximal end side to the distal end side of the main body 10, an inflating part 12 which is provided on the distal end side of the main body 10 and inflates when a fluid is supplied through the first pipe, a wire penetrated in the first pipe with the distal end side fixed, and an operational part 14 which is fixed on the proximal end side of the wire and operates to push and pull the wire to the main body 10 and bends at least the distal end part of the main body 10 in a prescribed direction.
