PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solubilized collagen fiber capable of rapidly and simply preparing itself to be formed into a collagen cosmetic in an aqueous solution state, by utilizing a cosmetic lotion, etc., and to provide the collagen cosmetic of a type of being prepared just before use.;SOLUTION: This solubilized collagen fiber has an isoionic point of not more than a pH of 5 and an average fineness of not more than 10 dtex. The collagen cosmetic is prepared by dissolving the fiber in an aqueous liquid having a pH of 5.5 to 9.0. The solubilized collagen fiber is obtained by preparing solubilized collagen having an isoionic point of not more than a pH of 5, then preparing an aqueous solubilized collagen solution having a pH higher than the isoionic point of the solubilized collagen, and further spinning and drawing the solubilized collagen fiber by using the solution. An apparatus (1) which has spinning means (3, 5, 7, 9) for spinning the solubilized collagen fiber by extruding the aqueous solubilized collagen solution (A) into an organic solvent (S1) in a fibrous form, drawing means (11) for drawing the solubilized collagen fiber, and a solvent tank (13) for receiving a hydrophilic organic solvent (S2) used for soaking the drawn solubilized collagen fiber therein is used for producing the fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
