PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solubilized collagen fiber surely usable in a state free from quality degradation caused by the denaturation or decay of collagen, a method for producing the collagen fiber, a collagen-containing cosmetic product and a method for producing the cosmetic product. PSOLUTION: Provided are a solubilized collagen fiber having an isoelectric point of pH5.0 or below and an average fineness of ≤40 dtx, prepared in a dried state by dehydration and drying and produced by solubilizing an insoluble collagen, adjusting the pH of the resultant viscous aqueous solution of the soluble collagen to 5.5-8.0 with an alkali and extruding into an organic solvent; a method for producing the solubilized collagen fiber; a production apparatus for the solubilized collagen fiber; and a collagen-containing cosmetic product obtained by mixing the solubilized collagen fiber with water or an aqueous medium.
