The invention relates to a safety coupling meant to transmit the torsion moment and rotation motion between two consecutive coaxial elements of a kinematic linkage and, at the same time, to limit the transmitted torsion moment in case that an overload occurs during operation. According to the invention, the coupling comprises two semi-couplings (1 and 2), some active seats (a) made of two trapezium-shaped channels defined by some angular flanks (b) arranged along a central portion of the second semi-coupling (2), connected to an external surface thereof by means of a circular surface (c), the active seats (a) being obtained by cutting an angular channel (d) as a through which follows the flanks (b) of the previously cut trapezium-shaped channels and the external surface of the second semi-coupling (2), some balls (4) placed, on the one hand, within the active seats (a) of the second semi-coupling (2) and, on the other hand, within some pairs of pressing balls (3) pressed by some cylindrical compression springs (6), tensioned by some flanges (5), by means of some screws (7), during the uncoupling process the balls (4) leaving the active seats (a) and reaching the trough-shaped channel (d) on the external surface of the second semi-coupling (2) rotating as against the first semi-coupling (1) by means of some radial bearings (8) mounted thereon, which also have the role of axial alignment of the two semi-couplings (1 and 2) by means of some elastic rings (9).
