Aqueous laundry detergent compositions comprising a solubilized ethoxylated fatty acid diester as a detergency booster and/or a defoamer. Preferred compositions include a nonionic surfactant, preferably ethoxylated fatty acid monoester, as at least part of the surfactant in the composition , and also functioning as the solibilizer for the ethoxylated fatty acid diester.
