The present invention describes a system for the computer-assisted provision of warnings for a target region by an early warning system for detecting natural or technical hazardous events, wherein the system comprises a first data storage unit for storing a multiplicity of hazardous event models as well as a determining unit for determining hazardous event models relating to the target region from the stored multiplicity of hazardous event models; a second data storage unit for storing spatial distributions of at least one item of information which describes the target region; an ascertaining unit for ascertaining the spatial distribution of a risk value on the basis of the determined hazardous event models and the spatial distribution of at least one item of information which describes the target region; a third data storage unit for storing data which define individual regions; a first processing unit for segmenting the target region into subregions at least partially on the basis of the spatial distribution of the risk value and for creating and storing data which define the subregions of the target region in the third data storage unit; and a second processing unit for dynamically providing individual warnings using the data which define the subregions of the target region in response to the detection of a hazardous event relating to the target region.
